Glock G36 with Timney Alpha Trigger

Timney does not make an alpha trigger that will fit a G36 Glock. Glock does not make a performance trigger (GPT) for the G36 Glock. Both of these triggers are single action triggers which I prefer.

So I wanted to see if I could make a Timney Alpha Trigger, work on this slim frame G36. I ordered the Timney Alpha Trigger, and found that the trigger bar on a G36 is unlike any other Glock pistol that I have access to.

The bend in the trigger bar is not as deep where it connects to the trigger housing. So, I knew I had to use a stock trigger bar.

Looking at the trigger bar, I felt that if I cut the front and rear tangs from the trigger bar, (pictured) it would mimic the Timney Alpha Trigger Bar. I kept the original trigger bar intact and purchased a replacement for testing.

I would also need to use the Timney Alpha Trigger Shoe, because the reset spring attaches to it.
Timney would not sell their alpha trigger shoe separately.

Rather than bugger up the Timney Alpha Trigger Arm and Shoe that came in the alpha kit, trying to remove the shoe to reuse it on the stock trigger bar.

I purchased a Johnny Glocks Timney Alpha Glock Vex Trigger Shoe for this Mod.

This picture shows a stock trigger bar with the cut off tangs.

With an empty case and new primer, I tripped the Striker, and the firing pin safety did its job without firing. I then did several other checks, all safety's were working correctly.

I loaded two rounds and walked down to the range everything worked perfectly.

Trigger is at 3 pounds, 8.5 oz, using a dot connector.

I went ahead and ran some fast fire drills, and again no problems. I have only run 125 rounds through it at this time.
